Can’t forget your lipstick!
There are certain beauty products we cannot live without. Here are my favorite cosmetics that I carry around while traveling and that I just love to wear, my very own favorites I’d like to share with you. If I were to go without any of these, I’m sure I’d have a panic attack and that’s not pretty…
Left to Right:
Kevin Aucoin, The Sensual Skin Primer-One of the most effective primers on the market. It blurs pores and blemishes as it preps your skin for make up. If you use his cult-favorite sensual skin enhancer, know that this primer is made for that!
Charlotte Tilbury, Exagger-eyes palette-OMG these made my eyes pop! A review will come later, but in the meantime I can certainly vouch for the wonderful color combinations and the formula and pigment is as luxurious as its price tag.
Tarte Cheek Stain Natural Beauty-easy to use with just a little swipe on the apples of your cheeks and it looks natural, a glow from within look with sheer intensity.
Christie Brinkley Strobe Show, Pinked-A highlighter in a wand. It adds that glow we all want to have during the winter months. Plus, the price point isn’t bad.
Benefit, Lemon Aid-Ever have red eyelids or veins showing through your lids? You won’t have them anymore if you use this! It works very well and it’s a fantastic eye make up primer–nothing budges in 12 hours.
NYX HD Foundation-This high definition foundation is lightweight with medium coverage. It blends easily and sits on the face nicely. I love this foundation and it is less than $20.00 for over an ounce!
IT Superhero Mascara-This mascara is the kind with fibers in it to make everything look thicker and full of length and volume. It even adds to my poor Asian eye lashes!
Becca Luminous Blush, Foxglove-Another blush I carry around just in case I don’t feel like wearing Benefit. Becca is badass, and their products last forever because a little really does go for miles.
Too Face Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer-This goes on thick and dries quickly so you need to speed it up the blending before it dries on you. It’s wonderful–a very fine concealer that makes the most of what you have.
NYX Epic Ink Liner, Black/Noir–A fabulous liquid eyeliner pen for easy touch ups and the longevity is there.
I have a confession to make–I have to carry at least five shades of lipsticks with me at all times! Nudes, bright colors, darker shades. I always want to be prepared and I love mixing colors if I’m in the mood. Here are some of my very favorites that I carry with me:
Lipstick Queen, Nothing but the Truth-This is my HG! Yes, out of hundreds of lipsticks I’ve tried, this color is the one I go for is I need a sure thing–it’s so perfect for my olive skim tone.
The Organic Skin Co., Flame–These lipsticks are about $35 so you have that to consider when buying this brand. But is their product and good? Actually, it is! Flame is a beautiful red, not too “in-your-face.” And the formula is thick and smooth so it glides on effortlessly.
Too Faced Melted Matte, Queen B--A mauve color that dries fast and stays put for hours! Keep your lips moisturized though as this can dry you out.
Bite Beauty, Glace-A gorgeous brown-red that applies effortlessly on your lips and it’s such a pretty color.
Charlotte Tilsbury, Bond Girl–No, I only sort of bought it because I like the name, lol. It’s their Matte Revolution formula and it’s very hydrating and smooth for a matte lipstick. I like to wear this color when I’m wearing black or Burgundy.
